Bonjour! My name is Sasha Rieland and I'm ecstatic to be teaching the second grade class in a language I love. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College this spring and spent the summer working for the Edina Park & Recreation program as the "Craft Lady." My passions include traveling, being outdoors, trying new foods, and of course working with children. I anticipate major growth in the upcoming year at our school for both myself and my students, and I can't wait to see what this school year will bring.

Monsieur Sisler: Physical Education Teacher
I have been teaching in Minneapolis Public Schools since 1984 and still love the kids and their intelligence, enthusiasm, and love for learning. Most recently I taught in Egypt with my wife last school year. We learned a new culture and met many great kids and people. Now it is nice to be back home working with our students.
In Physical Education we strive to learn lifetime sports and activities. A goal is to learn good sportsmanship and to be good team players. We will have many different units and your child will learn many new skills. It is the only school in MPS that has PE every day! Our students will be the fastest, strongest, most flexible, and fittest students in all of Minneapolis. Thanks for sending your child to our school! |
Madame Skoog: Associate Educator: Bilingual French
I am so excited to be here and help your children learn French! I grew up learning French and went to a French immersion school. I know the importance and the usefulness of being bilingual. I received my Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone Studies and Art History at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. My other previous education includes the Institut de Touraine in Tours, Lawrence University London Centre in London and the Scuola Linguaviva in Florence. French is a global language that I hope will open many doors for my current and future students
